Not much had been going on at Danity Academy lately .. it was all quite, well, boring. And boring wasn't good enough for Meg. Even the teachers seemed to be relaxed, and weren't loading them with homework like they usually did. I mean, Meg had actually finished her Calculus homework a week before it was due .. Honestly!

The beach was always one of Meg's favourite places .. be it on a sunny July morning, or a windy day in February, the beach was a place Meg liked to be. Well, everybody has their preferences. The only somewhat disadvantage about going to the beach in February .. it was very often deserted. And Meg didn't actually love being alone. In fact, she hated it.

And today, of course, was no different to any other day. When she stepped out onto the soft sand, there was no one to be seen. Well, maybe there was .. but Meg couldn't see anybody. The beach was huge, and Meg could barely see to the end of it. She shrugged, as she walked along, letting the cool February breeze brush against her face.

Once glance at the sky told her that the rain would start soon. But she didn't really care. It didn't matter.
She walked on, suddenly spotting someone in the distance. She quickened her pace slightly, in hope of talking to him .. because everyone was inside today, and the thought of meeting someone who actually thought the same as her .. well it was pretty darn cool.

On finally reaching him, she sat down, quite breathless. He looked kindaaa familiar .. but then again a lot of people from here looked familiar to her.
"Beach lover too?" she said, smiling softly. "I'm Meg."

Meg giggled softly as the boy sat up, the sand flying out of his hair. She covered her eyes with her hand for a few seconds, so it wouldn't go into her eye and get them all irritated. Once it had flown by, she lowered her hand and looked at him.
Alright, this was her kind of guy. Tall, brown messy hair, perfect teeth ..

Ack. Stop dreaming Meg.
Besides, this guy was probably a Senior or something .. too old for her? =S
She sighed as she ran her hands through her blonde hair and pulled it back into a pony tail. She then looked out towards the sea.
Although it was rough, it looked perfect. For swimming. Eh? What was she thinking?

But it was true, she felt like swimming today more than ever. She looked over at the boy and wondered if he was crazy enough to do something like that, like she was. She laughed again, for no reason in particular .. because Meg would laugh very randomly.
"What's your name?" she asked him.

She sighed at the silence between them that was going on for a few moments. Meg wondered what he was thinking about, what trail of thoughts he was going down. Then finally he replied, with his name.
"Tyler .. I like that name," she said, not realising she was actually speaking her thoughts. "Crap.. I uh .. said that out loud didn't I?" She blushed, feeling suddenly embarrassed which is a feeling Meg rarely gets.

"I'm Meg Holloway," she said, shaking his hand. "I'm guessing you're a Senior? Heh.. I'm still a Sophomore." He definately had the build of a Senior, and looked mature. That's another reason why he was off-limits. Like he would ever date a Sophomore like herself, although people told her she looked older than she actually was.
She lay back on the sand and just gazed at the clouds which seemed to be getting darker as the minutes flew by. But Meg didn't really care.. it was nice being here on the beach on a day like this; with a totally sexy guy next to her, who she knew she couldn't get.

She still had the feeling of swimming, and what Meg wants to do she generally does, so she got to her feet.
"I'm going swimming," she said grinning. Fortuntately she had thought from before to wear her bikini, so she pulled off her top and shorts, revealing her striped black and white bikini. Sure, she was showing off now .. but hey, it's what girls do when they're in the company of people they're .. say, attracted to.

Well, yeah, perhaps he was right. She had heard from loads of people that Senior year was anything but easy, and she should cherish her months as a Sophomore. And really, she was. She was enjoying herself as much as possible, flirting with whoever she wanted, partied as long as she wanted .. well, you get the picture.
"Yeh .. Being a Sophomore is pretty cool," she replied.

She could practically feel herself melting as he pulled off his shirt, revealing an eightpack. Meg was a sucker for boys with muscles.. and muscles like his .. mamma miaa! She hoped she wasn't staring, or gawking .. because she had a tendency to do that if there was someone she liked. But man she just couldn't get enough of that muscle ..
Meeeegggg Stop Thaatt!

"Yup, a plan," she said with a bit of a childish grin .. the type that means they're up to no good. She slowly made her way to the edge of the sand and poked the water with one of her feet.
"Crapp that's cold," she said jumping aside the moment the water touched her toes.

She then took a deep breath and plunged into the water. Sure, it was cold, but very refreshing. She looked over at Tyler.
"You coming in or what?" she said in a provoking way.

Apparently Tyler had the same reaction to the cold water as she had when she went in. She suppressed a giggle as he jumped back the moment he touched the water. For a girl it was normal since lots of girls -- Meg included -- are sissies .. but to watch a guy react to the cold was just amusing.

To her surprise, Tyler came sprinting into the water, bombarding her with tons of water in the process. She giggled .. alright, she really liked this guy now. She didn't really know what attracted her to him .. but something was definately there.
She reached forward and pulled a piece of seaweed out of his hair. [[xD]]
"There ya go," she said tossing it out of the way.

Her minded drifted away for a while, and as she pulled down her ponytail and let her hair hang loose, she thought about completely random things .. that didn't actually have anything to do with Tyler .. or anything really. But she was thinking about Carrie, her deceased sister, which was something she rarely did lately. It didn't make her too depressed or anything .. just pulled her into some sort of different world. She remembered that beautiful smile and the similarity between the two twins .. hardly anyone could tell them apart. That is, before Carrie lost all her hair -- and her life -- to Leukemia..

She shook her head suddenly, coming back to reality. She looked over at Tyler, wondering if he thought she was a total siko. She wouldn't blame him .. Meg had her random moments all the time, and not all guys liked that about her. One minute she'd be talking about something, and the next minute she'd be talking about something else.

"Well .. I've only been here about half a year," she said. "Transferred from London .. I used to go to school there, but my hometown is Daventry. But I'm a Cheerleader, like I was at my old school. I'm thinking of signing up for the dance team too .. if they let me on."

She looked at him well. He looked like a soccer player .. or a skater. Football was out of the question .. not that he didn't have the build of a footballer player -- because he did! -- but because she didn't think he'd get involved in something like football. Meg hated the sport, she thought it as a sissi form of rubgy .. and being a Brit, she didn't really like that.
"What about you?" she asked.

"Yeah .. it's very different," she said. "All this water .. sun .. it's kinda strange actually." It was true. Back home in England they'd have to travel by bus for about 2 hours before reaching the sea, and when they arrived they'd only have about 2 hours to play before their 2 hour bus ride back home. Here, everyone you walked you'd see the sea and all its beauty. And the sun. Well, that was something else. In England they'd dream about extremely sunny days in the summer, here they'd get them all the time.

She laughed at Tyler's comment about cheerleading.
"It is fun .. but as you said, more for a flexible girl like me," she said. "Actually, I can imagine you in the short skirt and everything .." she waited for a puzzled expression to take over the boy's face before adding "...just joking."

Skating! How had she been right about that one?
"It's not stupid at all," she said. "And if it's your passion, and you really love doing it .. go for it! And don't let anything hold you back.. but be sure to remember me once you become rich and famous and everyone will be falling at your knees, dying for the chance to date you." She smiled at him.

"Uh .. aren't there like, sharks here?" she said, the thought suddenly overtaking her mind. She had read about sharks in places like that and she was actually really scared of them. She moved a little closer to him, you know, just in casee.
"You'll protect me from them, right?" she said.
